Summer Reading Program 2026
Summer Reading is here! Sign ups will start on June 22 and the week of June 29 will be the first week to log reading. Children participating in the program can earn raffle tickets for each week that they read, or each bingo they complete.

Summer Reading Kick Off – Messy Art
Thursday, July 2 at 10:30
Join us for Messy Art! We’ll paint with dinosaurs, make volcano paintings, dig for dinosaurs, and make earth sun catchers from slime! This event will be held outside at the Madbury Library. Please come prepared for this program with clothing you do not mind getting messy.
Wildlife Encounters
Thursday, July 9 at 10:30
Wildlife Encounters will present animals from around the globe in this program! This event will be held at the Madbury Town Hall.
*parking note* please make sure to park in designated parking spaces only. If the Town Hall/Library lot is full, additional parking is available at the Madbury Church, Demerritt Ball Fields, or Moharimet School.
Dinosaur Bingo

Join us for Dinosaur Bingo! This program is geared towards kindergarten and up and will be held at the Durham Public Library,
Dinosaur Painting
Thursday, July 23 at 10:30 or 11:30 at Durham Public Library
Join us for a dinosaur themed paint and sip! We’ll have snacks and paint dinosaurs. Registration required.

Summer Reading Finale – Foam Party
Thursday, July 30 at 10:30 at Lee Little River Park
Celebrate the end of summer with a foam party! Come prepared for this program with swimwear, towels, water shoes, sunscreen, and a change of clothes! This program will be held outdoors at Lee Little River Park.
